Dresden is More Livable
'If it is correct to say that I can not only judge of what is horrible and ugly but also of what is beautiful, I attribute this gift to my good fortune in having grown up in Dresden.'—so author Erich Kästner put it. And he should know, as Dresden was his birthplace.Today, the millions of tourists who visit this 'Florence on the Elbe' every year are delighted by the city just like Kästner. It's a feeling that never fades when you live and work here. Probably the only place to offer comparable quality of life is the 'real' Florence—but that's not here on the Elbe.
